Colombia launches nature tourism guidelines
The reactivation of international tourism, as well as the greater dynamics of internal travel, forces tourism service providers and entrepreneurs in Colombia to have tools and knowledge that allow them to guarantee the experience to tourists, in addition to contributing to environmental conservation , cultural and heritage of the regions.
With this objective, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, under the leadership of Colombia Productiva, launched the new Good Practice Guides in sustainability for service providers in Nature Tourism.
These documents will help entrepreneurs in the tourism industry to acquire knowledge and improve their practices, to promote environmental conservation, social inclusion and cultural preservation, helping to improve the quality of life of local communities and promoting responsible tourism.
“At a time when entrepreneurs in the tourism sector are concentrating on reinventing themselves to speed up the recovery of this industry, these guides will be very useful to promote new practices in which the priority must be the conservation of the environment, but also inclusion. This is the only way to preserve the quality of life of the communities ”, affirmed the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, José Manuel Restrepo.
