CONNECTING CULTURES

The Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre commissioned WMM to present the former pearl trading colony in the Arabian Gulf as one of the Middle East's leading business destinations. We became part of a strategy to highlight Qatar's membership of the 36-year-old Gulf Cooperation Council, and diversification beyond revenues derived from the oil and gas industry.

While investment in the petrochemical sector has given the country one of the highest per-capita incomes in the world, Qatar's decision to diversify the economy in line with the National Vision 2030 has led to investment in educational, cultural, medical and entertainment facilities.

This diversification, combined with a huge public sector investment programme to boost small- and medium-size enterprises enabled us to present Qatar as an increasingly industrially connected destination just five hours flight from half the world's population.
